HISTORY AND OVERVIEW
The Center of Peace (TCP) Community Fund is a grant program that was established in response to TCP members, family, and/or friends who may have experienced financial hardship because of COVID-19. The funds are managed and dispersed under the supervision of the Senior Minister, Reverend Twana Malone, and the TCP Board of Directors.
As the initial impact of COVID-19 waned, funds continued to come in with fewer requests for disbursement. As a result, the Community Fund’s capacity has been expanded to support other in-house initiatives, spiritual communities, and beyond to remove any cost barriers.
TCP COMMUNITY FUND APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN TO:
- Current members and congregants of TCP and their families, community members, and friends
- Other CSL spiritual communities
Funds given to recipients are dispersed based on available funds at the time of disbursement. Eligible requests given should not exceed $400 per recipient, per calendar year.
TCP Community Fund is commonly used for assistance with the following unexpected circumstances:
- Food and housing assistance
- Healthcare and medical expenses
- Childcare expenses
- Educational expenses
- Other important and/or unique needs
Priority is given to TCP members, their families, community members, and TCP Care Circles (in that order of preference). If there are any unused funds, we will look at supporting beyond the TCP community. Applications for non-profit corporations will be considered.
