My journey in the Science of Mind (SOM) and New Thought spirituality began over 35 years ago when I was introduced to SOM by an older and close friend of my family and member of the Baptist church in which I was raised. During my career as a research scientist in a neuroscience laboratory, correlations in Ernest Holmes statements and scientific data became very apparent to me.

In 2003, after 2 years of intensive study, I became a licensed practitioner with The Center of Peace, under the tutelage of the late Rev. Sheila Pierce, TCP Founder and Senior minister.
As a licensed SOM Practitioner I have continued to do what I have always done and love doing whenever the opportunity arises and that is… to serve. As the words of Rikki Byers song, “How can I serve”.. show me the way, sweet Spirit…I know this is my life, I am here to serve. I know and believe that this is what  is mine to do on my journey here now.  I have served as TCP Practitioner Core Leader, TCP BOARD Treasurer, (twice) and TCP BOARD President (twice). I served on the Home Office Nomination Committee as well as the CSL’s first Practitioner Council. I also started and managed TCP’s One Mind Bookstore at the 4700 site. But it is my service as a teacher of Science of Mind which I love and enjoy the most. I so love learning and teaching Science of Mind!  It has changed my life and the thought that I can give this gift of knowledge to someone, knowing it can and will change their life gives me great joy!
