“Creating Community Beyond the Four Walls” series

This is an opportunity for us to come together in fellowship, spiritual practice, and fun!

Starting June 12, we will be coming together once a month on a Wednesday to enjoy a quiet, relaxing day at Ocean City Beach in New Jersey.

NO RSVP is required to go. Children must be accompanied by adults.

We just want you to show up and have fun!

All dates listed fall on a Wednesday:

• June 12 (Rain Date: June 19)
• July 17 (Rain Date: July 24)
• August 21 (Rain Date: August 28)

We will meet at 10am on each day. We can begin leaving at 3pm or later.

MEETING POINT:

We will meet at the large seating area between 5th & 6th Street on the Boardwalk. It is located just outside of the newly renovated public restrooms and Gillian’s Wonderland.

Note to GPS users: Add “Ocean City High School (OCHS)” as the destination point in your GPS. It will lead you to the two surrounding parking lots listed below. They are located on each side of the school. 

PARKING:

Foxtrot Lot: On 5th Street is a municipal parking lot located directly behind the OCHS. The exact name and address of the parking lot (this address can also be used as a destination point in your GPS) is Foxtrot Lot is 907 5th Street, OCNJ, 08226. Parking: $20. 

There is a privately-owned parking lot located directly behind Gillians Wonderland’s Ferris Wheel AND behind the school on the corner of 6th & Wayne (it has a white picket fence). 

Parking: $20.

METERED PARKING:

There is metered street parking (up to 4-hrs) available along the side of the school. Be sure to download the app called, “MeterUp” to pay.

Beach

Fees & Costs

Tolls: $13-15 (roundtrip). Be sure to bring $2.10 in change if you get off Exit 30 (Somers Point/Ocean City) for the Garden State Parkway toll.

Beach tags are required (CASH ONLY) to enter the beach:

• Daily tags: $10
• Weekly tags: $20
• Seasonal tags: $35 ($30 if purchased by May 31)
• Veterans only: FREE (Please bring your military ID) 
• Active members, spouses, and children up to 23 y/o: FREE.

Looking to get a head start or extend your stay?

Atlantic City is just 10-15 minutes away from Ocean City. There are many hotels to choose from.

Based on past experiences, the two recommended hotels are Courtyard Atlantic City Beach Block and the pet-friendly Sheraton Atlantic City Convention Center Hotel.
